This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students love to read and they often ask for particular books, but it can be hard to keep up with their voracious reading appetites!

This project will allow me to expand our library collection while responding to students' requests.

These books will be read over and over again since they will become part of our library collection.

The best way to become a better reader is to read more frequently. Students are more interested in reading when their peers recommend books to them. By responding to their book requests, I am able to build rapport with them, bring them into the library and entice them to keep reading.
