My Students

My students are a group of 22 active, engaged fourth and fifth graders. We are enjoying being back in school full time. Our school is part of a large, urban school district. We recently lost Title I status, but just barely. So, without the extra resources that that provides, we are left to seek out resources on our own.

It's such a great group of kiddos, and they deserve to have an amazing school experience.

Please help me provide more books, games, and puzzles for them.

My Project

Every year we our school participates in Oregon Battle of the Books (OBOB). This year several of my students are on teams. Our school doesn't have enough copies of the books and they are equally in demand at the public libraries, so we need copies for our classroom.

The kiddos love books so much that we need more for our collection.

In addition to the OBOB books, I've added some series books with animal characters and diverse characters; there should be something for everyone!

As many know, it rains some in Oregon so we sometimes have indoor recess. The third part of the project includes some indoor games: Rubik style cubes and Connect Four.

Finally, we have worn out our pencil sharpener, so I included a new one in the project.
