My Students

My school is a Title I school and nearly all of our students receive free breakfast and lunch meals. Regardless of any situation, I always encourage my students to keep trying because everything takes time to learn and do. The rewards will be worth it in the long run. My two groups of wonderful learners are in a Mandarin dual-language program. Every day they spend half the day in an English-speaking classroom with me, and the other half-day with their Mandarin teacher.

My first-grade students work very hard every day to learn all subjects in both English and Mandarin in order to be proficient in both languages.

My Project

Thanks to DonorsChoose, my students were so thrilled to receive several books of their own to read at home during winter break. As a teacher, reading is so essential as it ties to every other subject matter. I would appreciate your help in providing my students with more books to read during their leisure time! This project will help students with both their social and mental development.

Overall, it will let them develop a good, healthy habit of reading for their mind.

It will promote students' further creativities, spark wondrous imaginations, and help them do well at school, both academically and socially. Thank you for your kindness in advance.
