Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I'm a first grade teacher in a Title I school. I have a classroom full of bright, energetic students who can't wait to be readers. Unfortunately, in most cases the only reading they do will be in our classroom. So it is vital that I have meaningful literature for them. Our school library time is only for one hour per month; that is nowhere near enough! It is my job to make sure they become lifelong readers and learners. New books for our classroom would be so beneficial because the children could take home a new books every night to enjoy. Reading takes practice, and I want to make sure the children have adequate materials. I've chosen many books by Dr. Seuss, as well as other wonderful titles. Thank you for helping my first graders become readers!
