Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

All of my students are full of energy and have an excitement for learning. They appreciate the little things, which makes teaching so amazing. I can show my class a picture of something to simple, and they come up with tons of questions and observations.

My 26 students are amazing kids and aim to always have a growth mindset.

My school is a Title I school and works as a team. We strive to see growth in each and every one of our students and, in order for that, they need to receive the best education and differentiated instruction. I believe I could make that difference in each of my first graders, and I am excited to see what the growth and hard work my class accomplishes this year and future years.

My Project

As a third-year teacher, I do not have a complete library in the classroom in which the kids can read books at their levels. I have been working extra hard this year to get my students to become readers and enjoy reading! My kids get their own book box in the class and they need books at their own independent level to start reading! I strongly believe that my kids will build their reading stamina with leveled books that they enjoy.My classroom could use some extra engaging books at the kids independent level for the school years to come!
