This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students and I take great pleasure in exploring new books, especially with the Novel Effect app, which keeps them engaged. As we prepare for the upcoming school year (2025-2026), I would love to provide my students with fresh back-to-school books that emphasize the importance of caring for our supplies through the "On Strike" series.
In my Life Skills class, we have been diligently working on recognizing both upper and lower case letters, as well as their corresponding sounds, which is why I would love to offer my students the chance to enhance their phonics skills using the talking mirror.
As first graders, many of my students enter the classroom either non-verbal or with limited vocabulary. By the time they finish first grade and transition to second grade, they typically start using repeating phrases or short sentences. I aim to challenge my students' phonemic awareness by helping them develop their skills with some beginner book bundles that I have included in this project.
