This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Students at my school are caring, loving, and creative. As a new teacher this year of a Dual Language classroom, books will be a great way to connect with my students and families. A Dual Language program is always very inclusive and diverse, I want to bring to our classroom books that reflect my student’s cultures, beliefs, and identities.
My Project
Providing my students with these books will enhance an inclusive community in our classroom. I believe books bring community, joy and they also expand our learning and imagination. These books will be part of our classroom library, which to me is a safe place when we will have discussions and we will also share our thoughts.
As a new teacher this year, I want my students to feel included during our read-aloud.
This project will give my students access to expand their imagination and conversations. ¡Muchas Gracias a ustedes!
