This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a speech-language pathologist working in the NYC schools. I work with students who have speech, language, and reading difficulties. Many students in my school are english language learners from diverse backgrounds.

I am hoping to refresh our speech room library so that my students can have access to high quality literature.

I have selected a range of books, highlighting animals and seasons. The books I have selected are of high interest to the students in my school, and I hope they will promote a lifelong love of reading, while improving language abilities.
