Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am a first year, 3rd grade teacher at a high-need, low-income school in Pennsylvania. We are community with limited materials, but a great big heart!
Since I am a first year teacher, I began the school year with a very limited amount of books for my children.
In the past, my students have asked for certain books, which I have purchased. Financially I am no longer able to do this. This is why I am in need of some additional chapter books and resources. This will increase our chances of making our AYP (Annual Yearly Progress) goal this year.
If we are able to receive additional chapter books for our library, this will allow my students to further explore the world of books. Books are what allow my students to escape from the problems they face at home and become the characters they are reading about. For this they will be grateful!
Your donation will make a monumental difference to my students. You will make it possible for them to enjoy reading and explore different possibilities! Books are simple things that all children deserve to have in their lives!
