This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our class is one of the best on campus!
Our students are dedicated, hard-working young adults who strive to do their best in class on a daily basis!
Most students at our school come from a low socio-economic background, which makes it difficult for some of them to have what is needed in class. About 90% of our students are on reduced lunch at school. This doesn't stop our students from giving their best in class. They are able to look passed their disadvantages and continue to be hard-workers!
My Project
It is known that children will find their love for reading at one time in their lives. Giving students books at their grade-level can help students find their love for reading much faster.
These books will definitely cater to each and every student in my classroom because of their messages!
Students will have access to all these books in the library and will be able to take them home to read to their families and friends.
These books will also be used in the classroom during silent reading time, read-aloud, and for our classroombookaday challenge. Each book has a message that as a class we will discuss. Thank you!

Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
