My Students

My students come to school every single day, in person and remote, eager to become readers who can help teach others new strategies and writers who inspire their readers.

When my students move reading levels, or in our class we "climb the coconut tree" to new and higher reading levels, we love to celebrate those achievements!

My students are proud to share their reading levels, with their peers, teachers, parents, and school personnel! We love to leave the classroom knowing the students are proud of their achievements.

My Project

These books will provide my students with the opportunity to enhance their love for reading! My classroom library is a place where my students love to have the opportunity of choice, they are the ones who take learning into their own hands. All of the books that I've chosen, were chosen specifically with my students in mind. My classroom is a safe place where we can converse about the differences in culture, interests, amongst many others! Students will choose their books, which help them continue the love of reading.

With these new books, my students will have the ability to explore a variety of books that will help them grow as readers and read independently at their own level.

They can't wait to host classroom book clubs and discuss the new books to gain rich conversation skills and grow as stronger readers. My students have shown an amazing interest in shared reading and independent reading, and this project will help enrich their experience with all types of print works.
