This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Here at my school we have many new students from Spanish speaking countries, especially Central America, who love to read and are devouring our library's Spanish collection. I am looking to update our collection with some new and exciting graphic novels and chapter books in Spanish.

All students deserve access to books that interest and inspire them.

Reading in any language is so important for learning and growth. Providing students with an array of engaging books in Spanish is an excellent way to inspire them to read. Many of my Spanish speaking students come in almost daily to find new books to read, and I am so excited to provide these new books for them. With your support, we will update the collection and keep our students inspired to continue reading and expanding their world.
