My Project

I am requesting class sets of Fudge-a-Mania and Freckle Juice chapter books so students will continue to enjoy reading and continue building fluency in a safe environment. I plan to use the books on a daily basis in class. I will read and students decide on an individual basis if they will be reading out loud before we get started. All students follow along as we read each chapter and discuss.

I love seeing my students' eyes light up when it's time to read our chapter book.

To hear the giggles as we come to a funny part or the outbursts of disbelief while reading other parts. Students are able to break into groups to discuss their favorite parts or parts they wish to chage. Students actively engage in reading with a book in their hands. The project ideas are endless for example students can create new book covers or write the lost chapter because students didn't like a book's ending. The books will be utilized well and definitely enjoyed by my students.
