Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The third graders in my class always want to learn more and reading is their gateway to the world. Most students have not visited the the beaches, the plethora of museums in nearby San Francisco, or seen the Sequoia Trees one hour from their homes.

Books make up for these deficits, along with using them as model texts for our writing genres (Narrative, Informational, and Opinion).

This year I must be a better writing teacher for I am now teaching writing for all three third classes versus just mine. I have been planning this since the beginning of summer break and will do so throughout too.
