Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I truly enjoyed watching my scholars enjoy my classroom. I have the pleasure of working with several gifted and talented students for this coming year and they enjoy STEM and art-related activities along with read-alouds. My scholars have a drive for exploring more with hands-on STEM activities that go along with a book that we have read. Having more books would make their classroom learning experience even more memorable.

My Project

My students will enjoy diving into these books. They will have a full experience with their new book. In addition they will have extension STEM activities to go along with. My students will have reading journals and research the setting of the books. The will use a map for locations of the read-aloud. They can reenact a scene and make food connections mentioned in the books. They will be excited to showcase their final products with other classes. These activities will expand their English and creative skills. The students will present and showcase their projects from these books.
