This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These books will continue to enrich the print-rich, student-centered classroom I work hard to create. My classroom library is a space where students truly enjoy spending time — whether they’re reading independently, working on assignments, or listening to a read-aloud during class discussions.

Every book in our library is selected with care and purpose, and my students treat them with the respect they deserve.

These titles were chosen based on what I’ve observed my students gravitating toward over the past few weeks, as well as their direct input on what they’d like to read more of.

By expanding our collection, I hope to continue fostering a love for reading and help students find books that speak to their interests, identities, and curiosities. Giving them the opportunity to choose what they read not only builds stronger readers, but more confident and thoughtful individuals.
