Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am reaching out with an exciting opportunity to support our math classroom through the purchase of books focused on both the research of mathematicians and the integration of social-emotional learning (SEL) in mathematics education. As a teacher committed to fostering a positive, inclusive, and academically rich environment, I believe it is crucial to provide students not only with strong mathematical foundations but also with the emotional and social tools they need to thrive.

To bring this vision to life, we are seeking donations to acquire books that highlight the achievements and contributions of mathematicians, particularly those from diverse backgrounds.

These books will inspire students by showing them the real-world applications and historical significance of math, while also challenging stereotypes and broadening their perspectives on who can succeed in mathematics. Additionally, we aim to integrate SEL into our math curriculum, helping students develop resilience, self-regulation, and collaboration skills that will support them in their academic journey and beyond.

Your donation will directly impact our students by providing them with resources that promote both academic excellence and personal growth. By supporting this initiative, you will help empower our students to see math as not only a subject to study but as a field where they can make a lasting impact. Thank you for considering a contribution to our classroom, and for supporting our efforts to inspire the next generation of mathematicians and leaders!
