My Students

My students learn best with hands-on experiments and a firsthand look at things. They have a great enthusiasm for learning! We are from a Title One school, so many students receive free or reduced-price lunch and come from different backgrounds.

My students come to school with an eagerness to learn.

I want to grow my students' curiosity to learn by showing them that learning can be fun. Ms. Frizzle from the Magic School Bus series always said, "Take chances, make mistakes, get messy!" My class does this with hands-on learning and STEAM. My classroom is a fun and inviting place to learn. I have hands-on activities everyday.

My goal is to introduce students to science in a fun way and inspire students to want to pursue a career in science. I also have a goal to inspire students to have a love of learning for years to come. I want to also teach my students how to show empathy and to be caring. We want to help our fellow students at our school and in our community who could be experiencing financial difficulties.

My Project

My sweet students come in every year with an excitement to learn and grow. The use of books is a daily activity to develop and strengthen reading skills. I am requesting books that will encourage a love of reading and to encourage and build crucial literacy skills.

These books will help promote a joy for learning as students solve for unknown words and develop comprehension skills.

When you donate to this project, you will provide students with a multitude of exciting book titles to keep them reading voraciously throughout the school year!

It is our responsibility to foster a reading environment where students can flourish and grow their interests, but also see authors that look like them and read books about people who have experienced some of the same things they have experienced.
