This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The texts in this project will help students be more aware of their emotions and the impact they have on others. With these books, they will learn what do do when they have hard-to-have feelings.
All feelings are okay -- it is what we do with those feelings that counts!
This year, my students are displaying a lot of needs related to social skills and emotional regulation. It can be difficult to find age-appropriate texts to introduce SEL strategies to students. This project will help to bulk-up the SEL section of our library. The books in this project will be a wonderful addition to our classroom and will engage students' at an age-appropriate level.
