This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am looping with my first graders over to second grade. My students are creative and inspiring young individuals who love reading. They are ambitious and self-motivating. My classroom is diverse and love reading to transport them to new adventures.

My students love to challenge themselves and question the world around them.

I am blessed with students who enjoy coming to school each day ready to learn and put their best foot forward. When you enter my room you will always find them engaged in discussion. This allows them to learn from each other and make unique connections to the books they have read.

My Project

These books will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create. My classroom library is a place that my students really enjoy. All of these books have been chosen with my students in mindStudents will be able to choose books, which will help them continue to enjoy reading.

With these new books, my students will be able to choose from a variety of books that will allow them to read independently at their own grade level.

They will also be able to choose books that interest them. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these books will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading. This project will help enrich their experiences with the printed word.
