This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Reading can oftentimes be seen as difficult for some students. Part of the challenge is finding books that actually pique their interest enough to get picked up. Our goal is to ensure students have culturally relevant books that reflect their population and interests! As our students begin to develop their literacy skills through tier I and tier II interventions, we hope to transition them over to a more traditional style of reading to reinforce the skills they are beginning to learn and hone in.
