This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students deserve to have books that teach SEL and encourage positive mindsets, confidence, and self worth. I plan to use these books during carpet time and have deep discussions about what is means to be empathetic and have emotions. My students are a diverse group who have different backgrounds, and this will be a wonderful way to bring everyone together. My goal is to always create a positive environment where each student feels valued and safe to be themselves. These books will help me provide an incredible environment in our classroom.
