My Project

One of the most important skills students learn in school is to read. Reading is the access to students' futures. As teachers and parents try to make up the learning gaps caused by Covid shutdowns, one thing that has been cut is reading just for pleasure. I see that as more and more students don't identify themselves as readers. This project will help get new and exciting books into students' hands so they can get motivated to read just for the joy of reading.

I've seen the confidence that comes when a student becomes a reader.

I want to see that light in all of my students' eyes.
