Books for Middle School Enjoyment!

Help me give my students high interest, low readability books for my classroom so that my students can learn to love reading at their level.

My Project

This book project is for my 6th, 7th and 8th grade special education students. I have many students who love looking at books and reading books, but have great difficulty reading. I teach basic reading skills and ELA and we are working our way up to grade level skills. In the meantime, I am teaching my students to love books at all levels. Reading is great whether you are reading a magazine, graphic novel or textbook. I want my students to love reading!

My students struggle when we visit the library because there are very few books that are geared for middle schoolers who cannot read.

Graphic novels help build confidence and allow my students to still learn and enjoy the gift of reading.

A donation of graphic novels will help us build our own class library so my students can confidently check out books they can read and understand.
