My Students
As a first year teacher responsible for a huge testing grade, I want to make sure my students have any resources they need to be successful learners in my classroom. My students are part of a low income community with little to no home life support. I want to be the sense of home for them when they come to school. My students will have the ability to feel important, loved, taken care of, and respected by not only me as their teacher but also their peers.
My Project
I want to provide my students with the best books for them that are age and grade level appropriate. Reading can not only help them in english but can also provide them with a world of opportunities in other subjects as well. My students come from homes with little to no income and love to check out books from our personal library to take home with them. I want to make sure they have an assortment to provide them with a variety of options for learning. I teach a testing grade that focuses on literacy. My goal is to have all my students proficient and reading on grade level!
