My Students

My students are an amazing group of third graders. They are enthusiastic about school and embrace everything we do in class. They love reading, P.E., math, and science. Our school is a kindergarten through eighth-grade school located in rural California. It houses 450 students. Our school is surrounded by forests and mountains and has daily visitors such as geese, turkeys, and deer.

My school had a fire on January 26.

I lost my entire classroom to smoke damage. The materials requested in this project are to help my students and I rebuild our classroom and supplies.

My Project

My students need a variety of the Branches series books for my emerging readers.

I have a wide variety of reading levels in my classroom.

I have a lot of books in my library that are appropriate for advanced readers. I am finding that I need more books for my emerging readers.

I have a few Branches books in my classroom. My students have caught on to them and I cannot keep the books I have on the shelf. In this grant I am asking for a long list of books such as the Owl Diaries, Eerie Elementary and Dragon Masters that can keep my student engaged and interested in reading.

The Branches series offer a wide range of genres. Having different types of books will give my students the variety of literature they need to grow as readers.
