My students are absolutely brilliant. They come to my class with a love for computer science and cannot wait to learn. They love the lessons we are currently doing and have done. Their brains are so opened and ready to soak up everything they can. Most of the time, the students are not ready to leave class and ask why they have to wait so long to come back to see me. I love that they love computer science! I love that they find the subject so exciting!
My Project
I come from a general education classroom and know the importance of literacy in the classroom. Right now, I am a computer science teacher and love it, as do the students. However, I want to start a library of books geared towards computer science or technology. I teach grades kindergarten through 5th and believe the books could be used with any grade level I teach. I would utilize the books at the beginning or end of a lesson to add the literacy component. I love reading books to my students! I think this would be a great start to a library!
