Books for Budding Bibliophiles

My students need a variety of books at their reading levels so they can practice independently reading and comprehending at their level.

My Students

My students walk into my classroom each day full of questions and excitement. My students are able to spend the majority of their day in the general education classroom, but come to my classroom for individualized and specialized help with reading and language skills.

My students attend a Title 1 Chicago Public School in the Rogers Park neighborhood.

My students know they need to work extra hard in order to become better readers so they can keep up with their peers in the rest of their classes.

My Project

My 3rd-5th graders are receiving specialized support in order to learn to read and to improve reading skills. Not only do they need great instruction, they also need many opportunities to read interesting material at their level.

I always tell my students to "read read read read read" if they want to improve their reading skills.

These books will allow my students to read more books at their own level. The organizational baskets they come in will allow my students to independently select books that are at the right level for them. We need your support to make this new library a reality!
