This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My Kindergarten students are in need of books and working materials. So far many have reached their "C" level reading. There are a few that have gone beyond that. Please help me fulfill their knowledge and aspiration.

We are an 80% ELL population with high poverty.

I want to instill a love for reading and afford a great environment in which to do this. Having books and a caddy will help tremendously with their love for learning more. It will be Christmas all over again.

My Project

These books will afford them to go beyond what is expected in kindergarten. Many are reading at the B through C level. I have about 5 that are reading beyond that and actually ready for first grade. They like dinosaurs, monsters, adventures and many more. I can't wait to see them read these new books.

The book caddy is so they can have the books ready accessibility when needed.

They love to read and I love giving them the tools they need. Please help me make this dream come true.

These materials will enhance their knowledge of the English language for ELL. Those that are English speakers, it will open up their minds into wonderful imaginations and what lays ahead in a positive and creative manner. It will make them more aware of the diversity in our nation.
