Help me give my students books, books, books! I am moving to Kindergarten, and I need books for the classroom library.

My Project

I am working to build a classroom library for my energetic, curious, and bright kindergarten students. These young learners are at the very beginning of their educational journeys, and having access to a rich variety of books can spark a lifelong love of reading.

In our classroom, books are more than just stories—they are tools for learning, windows into new worlds, and mirrors where students begin to see themselves.

Whether it’s a silly rhyming tale, a gentle book about friendship, or a colorful nonfiction book about animals, every title opens the door to discovery.

Right now, our classroom library is lacking age-appropriate texts due to moving from a higher grade level, and I would love to fill it with age-appropriate, engaging, and diverse books. I am hoping to collect books that:

Support early literacy and phonics development

Feature diverse characters and cultures

Encourage curiosity, kindness, and creativity

Include both fiction and nonfiction options
