Help me give my students books to read over the holiday break that are on their level! It is important for my students to be able to have books to read that they love!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I work with a wonderful group of first-grade students who love to learn! They are eager to read and practice what they have learned! I strive to give them a safe, welcoming environment where they feel safe each and every day. My students deserve the best, and I am dedicated to giving that to them!
Most of my students come from low-income homes.
Their families work very hard, but some cannot afford to send them with the materials needed for school.
My Project
Having books on grade level allows students to read confidently and enjoy what they are reading! I would love for my students to have 2 books each to practice their reading and continue on their journey into books while they are home for the holidays! Our school is a year-round school, and we will be out of school for three weeks. If students are not reading every day during this time, they could regress in their reading abilities. Many students will be home with their families or at childcare while their parents are at work. If they have books that they can read fluently, they can read independently even if their family members are unable to read with them.
