My Students

Do you remember the days when you devoured books like a ravenous beast? That is how the students in my book club are and they need more books!

We live in a small, rural school district where the students are high achievers and highly involved in a large variety of activities from sports to choir to speech.

Many students are also voracious readers, and love to read a large variety of books.

My Project

I am requesting books both to add to my library and for our book club to read together. So far, I have had to scrounge books from here and there in order to have books for us to read together, and even then it can be difficult to find enough copies for everyone. With a variety of titles and multiple copies, we can read more books together, which will enhance their reading and discussion as a book club.

This is the first year of our book club, and it is constantly growing!

Some of my students have read almost every book in our library, and they need not only more variety, but a venue for discussing books they have read.
