My Project

My students are bright, curious young learners who face unique challenges in their journey to becoming confident readers. Many of them have disabilities such as ADHD, learning disabilities, and speech or language impairments, which make traditional reading materials difficult to access. Despite these challenges, they are eager to learn and thrive when given the right tools. I want to provide them with decodable readers that are specifically designed to support early literacy development through phonics-based instruction.

Decodable readers are an essential resource for children who are learning to read, especially those with learning differences.

These books allow students to practice the skills they’ve been explicitly taught—like decoding words using letter-sound relationships—in a way that builds confidence and fluency. Unlike typical storybooks, decodable readers are carefully crafted to match students' reading levels, giving them the success they need to feel like real readers. For my students, these books are not just helpful—they are critical to unlocking the world of reading.

With your support, I can create a classroom library of engaging, accessible decodable books that empower my students to grow as readers. These materials will not only support their academic progress but also nurture their self-esteem and love of learning. Every donation brings us one step closer to providing the resources my students need to overcome obstacles and discover the joy of reading.
