My Project

As I enter into my 20th year teaching, I will be moving from 5th grade to Kindergarten. I could not be more elated to excite young little minds about literacy and reading.

Exposing students to books on a daily basis has so many benefits-especially as they are beginning to make connections with letters, phonemic awareness, and early literacy!

Also, these books will be a foundation we use to grow our classroom community, make math/science/Social Studies connections, and increase our love for reading.

My goal is to give my students exposure to books that embodies a love for literacy, while also being inspired by different, multi-cultural authors and illustrators.
