My students need beginning band books and metronomes. This year, more than ever, we have students who cannot afford their own books. Metronome pulsing watches are for percussion leaders and conductors to sync time together.

My Students
We are a band on the verge of greatness, but we need your help! We have 234 students from two middle schools and a high school in our band program. Four years ago, our marching band had only 49 members, but now...we boasted 78!!! However, our instruments are all very old, and we are in a low-income area where many students have to borrow a school instrument. We are quickly running out of instruments!!! Our hope is for funding to help us finish this year strong and purchase new instruments and equipment that will help us for the next 15+ years! Students cannot feel successful on an instrument or equipment that is holding them back, so we hope you will help us!
My Project
I am asking you all to help us afford books for our beginners. These books are essential for the students to be able to follow along in class and to take home for practice. We use the same book each year, and I hope to get at least 4 years of use out of each of them. We have had to purchase and ask for donations of instruments for students to use in our growing classes, but we do not have the funds for their books.
The books will help years of beginners; the metronomes will help all of our leaders!
By helping with books, you'll help us grow the band even further. By helping us get the watch metronomes, we will play better in time. I can use these watches at the high school, AND at each middle school. My plan is for my drum majors and percussion section leaders to sync the watches together. The watches will pulsate on their wrists at the exact same time. This will help them keep together, in time for our extremely difficult shows. They can also be used with section leaders from other sections and even middle school.
