This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In this project I chosen a series of decodable books that cover every phonics skill that I will be teaching my students this school year. Many of my students in third grade are English Language Learners and are learning to read for the first time in English. These books will help me provide every student with additional practice of the phonics skills that I have taught them in small group.

Additionally, the students will be able to utilize these books during independent reading time as well, while also giving them the confidence they need as they build their skills as a reader.
