Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
One of the toughest parts of being a teacher is building up a great classroom library. It is important to have grade-level books, but not all students come to fourth grade reading on grade level. Some are below level, some are above level, and some are on all levels in between. Stocking up a classroom library with a good selection of books for each of those levels is an expensive task.
The books selected in this project are of high-interest, and my students can read them independently.
This will make a difference in their learning because it will expose them to quality literature, help to grow their vocabulary and reading levels, and give them an overall love for reading!
