This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I love that my students are eager to learn. They love when I read aloud to them. That is one of their favorite things, to listen to me read. I want to use these books to show them how special we all are. I want them to see themselves in these stories, to relate to the characters. I also want them to learn about different cultures. I expect them to be culturally sympathetic to other people, people that may not look like them, may not speak the same language, and may have other religious beliefs.
My students will gain so much by reading books where they can see themselves in the stories and characters.
I hope they see how special they are. I want them to value themselves and value other people's differences.
