This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Help me give my students new board books, light covers, and a classroom set of crayons to inspire learning and creativity in a calm, engaging space.

In our Pre-K classroom, we are laying the foundation for lifelong learning — and the right materials make all the difference.

Our current board books are well-loved and worn, and we need sturdy, engaging titles to refresh our classroom library. These books help our young learners build early literacy skills, spark their imaginations, and develop a love for reading from the very beginning.

We also need light covers to help create a soothing, welcoming atmosphere. Fluorescent lights can be harsh and overstimulating, especially for young children. Soft light filters will promote focus, reduce visual stress, and help students feel calm and comfortable throughout the day.

Lastly, we’re asking for a new classroom set of crayons. Our students use crayons daily to draw, write, and express themselves — activities that support fine motor skills and creativity. A fresh set will ensure every child has access to the colors they need to bring their ideas to life.
