My Project

My Students

My classroom is full of curious, creative, and energetic 4th and 5th grade learners who come to school each day ready to grow—but like all kids, they need the right environment to truly thrive.

Many of my students face challenges both in and out of school, so creating a space that supports their academic learning and their emotional needs is a top priority.

My Project

This project will transform my classroom into an engaging, organized, and sensory-friendly space designed to spark excitement and support every learner’s needs. I’m requesting a mix of materials that serve multiple purposes:

Goosebumps books to hook even my most reluctant readers with spooky, suspenseful fun

Astrobrights paper to make our anchor charts and student work pop with color

A large digital clock to help my students build time management and transition smoothly

An Echo Dot (5th gen) to play music for mood, timers for tasks, and even brain breaks

Recordable answer buzzers to gamify review and boost participation in ELA discussions

Dry erase erasers to keep our whiteboard learning tools clean and ready

Sensory tubes and sequin wall fabric for a calm-down corner that helps students self-regulate and refocus when emotions run high

Together, these items will help me build a classroom that’s not only functional, but fun, inclusive, and magical.

The Impact

This project brings together literacy, classroom management, and social-emotional learning in a way that supports the whole child. With these materials, I can create a space where students feel safe, seen, and inspired to take academic risks. The goal is simple: to meet my students where they are—and give them the tools to soar.
