My students need books on their level to make it easier to find a JUST RIGHT book for them to read independently!

My Students
Reading. If a student has trouble reading, they will struggle in all subjects. My 20 first grade students are becoming better readers daily and working to read more difficult books and to be able to comprehend and use their skills in not only ELA, but also math, science, and social studies.
I currently have 20 full-of-life first graders in my first grade class at Edisto Primary School.
We are a title one school. This is only my second year teaching, so we are all still learning! My students love to have books in their hands, but I want to make it easier for some of them by having books that they are able to read easily by themselves, without needing any help!
My Project
My students will benefit from the leveled books because they will be able to read books that are a perfect match for them. Students loose interest if books are too easy or too hard. By having a leveled library available for them to choose their own books, that are on their levels, I hope to have students that are more eager to read. When my students feel more comfortable reading books, I envision that they will become more independent and that their confidence will soar!
By donating to my project, you are helping some students that don't get to read but only at school.
With your help, I can show students that they can be great readers with practice, by using resources (such as the leveled books) to work their brains and make them smarter!
