My Project

My students are always so excited to learn new things. Kindergarten is such a fun age! They really love to have stories read aloud to them and they're engaged with the story. They try to read stories on their own in the classroom library, but they're not quite there yet. I want that excitement for reading to continue throughout their life and getting these high-interest, easy-to-read materials will make a huge difference in my classroom. I will have a larger selection for my students to choose from and different genres of books in my classroom it will be an added benefit to gain background knowledge. Young children are sponges and building a strong foundation in kindergarten will only support them with learning in the future. Social-emotional and academic learning are very important especially during the time of Covid-19 because kids missed out on essential skills needed to achieve academic goals and interact with others.
