My Students

William Butler Yates said, "Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire." Books help light that fire in all students.

My students are in grades K-2 with a variety of unique strengths and challenges.

They thrive in a structured and organized classroom. Materials need to be easy to find and readily accessible. To assist in independence these materials need to be where students can access them with limited adult intervention.

My Project

With a book display my students will be able to easily see and reach the books available for reading in our classroom whether they are sitting in a wheel chair or on the floor. With out it they will need to look through baskets which can be difficult for some of them. Having this access will give them more freedom and independence.

Your donation to our book display will help my students gain a greater availability of independence and will help their self confidence.

It will be one more step on their quest to independence that they can complete without the help of someone else.
