This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project funds books, books and more books!

It's a joy to share that the reading levels of the students in my classroom have outpaced my classroom library!

We need engaging and challenging chapter books to add to our library for all of our readers. We are also working to build a robust library so that I can send books home with kids whenever they want. Reading should never be limited by circumstances.

I'm also asking for a class set of the book, "Wishtree," so that my first and second grade readers can have the experience of reading a novel together. The goal is that this class introduction of reading a novel will build lifelong readers who are not afraid to tackle challenging books. The novel will also be used to expand on literacy and writing standards so that my readers can continue to soar.
