My Project

Books, Books, Books is a project designed to bring more titles into our classroom. It will also add another common novel to the mix of the ones we already use in class to have a common text from which to work. In ELA, we have what is known as first chapter Friday where I read the first chapter of a new book and then set it out, inevitably a student will be drawn to the title and read it.

Books are so important to the growth of each student, they take them to unknown worlds, give them a way to experience a new culture, and a safe space to compare adventures with a character.
