My Project

Expanding our classroom library by adding new books is always beneficial to students. Getting new titles in the hands of children and getting them excited to read new content is very important. Books have a lasting impact that surpasses the reach of academic lessons isolated in the classroom alone.

Curating a classroom library to include authors of color, texts with relevant content that students can relate to, and books that depict experiences and perspectives of others is the next step.

There are books that students have requested, there are books that come highly recommended, as well as newly released titles. These books will have an impact on my current group of students and my future classes and students for many, many years to come.
