My Students

The students in my classroom struggle with learning in one or more areas. They desire to be like all their peers in the general education classroom. When they are able to experience success, however small it may seem to us, they are excited. We have learned to praise the smallest of gains!

What a delight it is to see the expressions on the faces of my kids when they complete a task with success!

My team and I work for those moments with these kids. Our goal is to help these students accomplish all their goals and become independent workers in the general education setting.

My Project

Our classroom library is sadly lacking in books that appeal to my students, but are written on their grade levels. Every opportunity we get, we grab books from our shelves and read!

These new titles will encourage my students to read more.

I firmly believe that the more students are exposed to good books, the greater their love for reading will be. When kids learn to love reading, they grow in so many ways. Books enable them to increase their knowledge set in more subjects than just reading. I love to see my kids totally involved in the books they are reading.
