My Students
My class is made up of kids who are full of energy and excitement to learn new things. On the first day of school, they cheered when I showed them the library and told them they could pick books to keep at their desk. They love to play music and learn ideas in a variety of ways.
We are a large elementary school that is home to students who represent a wide range of cultures and languages.
They are excited to bring their diverse backgrounds into the classroom where they can collaborate and learn from each other!
My Project
Our second graders love to read, especially when they can see themselves in the stories. It is so important to make sure our library has books that represent all kinds of people and topics. Keeping our classroom library well stocked with interesting books is always a goal of mine.
Help me provide a more diverse classroom library that celebrates all the different people in our classroom.With the funds from this project, students will be exposed to literature with a variety of characters.
Hopefully they'll find a book that they'll love, and it will spark a lifetime of love for books and reading.
