My Students

It has been said that a library is the only single place you can go to learn something new, be comforted, terrified, thrilled, saddened, overjoyed, or excited all in one day.

We have a strong Accelerated Reader program here.

We separate it into 3 trimesters. If the children reach 150% of their goal, with their testing accuracy 85% and above the receive different incentives. For example, we provide them with a medal, then a pen and finally a trophy. They also get to have a pancake breakfast if they reach 100% of their goal each trimester.

My Project

New books inspire these students imaginations. As I said, when they read new books they learn something new, they can be be comforted, terrified, thrilled, saddened, overjoyed, or excited all with one book! Or with several books, like the 17 on this list.

I cannot imagine anyone not wanting to inspire children to be scholars.

Putting books in the hands of children can give them a life long relationship with actively seeking out knowledge.
