Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

No two children are the same, learn the same, or have interest in the same things. It is important to tap into these interests and ensure that my students are engaged. In an effort to incorporate Daily 5 into my reading block, it is important that I have resources for them to choose from.

I have a group of 20 eager to learn and diverse students.

From interests in action and adventure to areas in the sciences and social studies, my students have a wide range of interests. My school follows the philosophy of engaging every child and teaching curriculum through their interests.

My Project

With a new set of classroom books for our listening library my class will have a wide variety of books to choose from when at the listening center. It is very important to teach children to choose just the right books in an effort to become independent and successful readers.

This project will help update my listening library in an effort to meet the needs and high interests of my students.

These new books will give them the choice of reading chapter books, fiction books, and books in the sciences.
